As luck would have it I did something and now my header is gone and I can't get the background to look right! So I will be fixing my blog over the next few days.

My Birthday Trip!

A few weeks ago my wonderful hubby asked me what I would like for my birthday; luckily for him I knew exactly what I wanted!! I wanted a family trip ... I wanted a whole day where we went exactly where I wanted to go. So I planned out a whole day. We headed to San Franciso. We spent the whole day showing the Little Man Cub all the sites. We started at the Boudin Bread factory with some yummy clam chowder in a bread bowl, then off to the wharf for some nuts and looking at the sea lions, next was a stop at a grassy spot for our Little Man Cub to get some excersice, then we headed up to Ghirardelli for ice cream sundaes (and we aren't done yet :) ), then we hopped in the car to check out Fort Point (which I must say has an awesome view of the bay!), and finally we were ready to head home! I have to say it was a wonderful day and I couldn't have asked for a better gift.

Parenting Truths #1

So once you become a parent you learn a set of unspoken truths .. thats right you don't know they exist until you have children and then this set of odd truths make all to much sense! So Parenting Truth #1 is .... YOU LET SLEEPING BABIES LIE!!!! Don't move them, don't touch them, don't make any noise ... LET THEM SLEEP. And to illustrate my point here are some fun pictures of our Little Man Cub catching some z's in interesting places.

Example #3. In the Johnny Jumper, I think he jumped himself to sleep? I was a little worried about whiplash :)

Happy Hollow with Grandma!

Baseball

We were so excited when Our Little Man Cub's uncles all signed up to play baseball .. not just because they have great soft pretzels, but because the field is less than a mile from our house!!! It was so much fun to walk down to the field and watch them all play baseball. Here are a few pics (that I am stealing off of my mom's computer :) ). It looks like the Little Man Cub is ready to join the game!

Day Trip!

About once a month we try to go on a fun day trip. We have been going to the aquarium a lot since you can go rain or shine and we have a pass, but with the beautiful weather we wanted to enjoy the great outdoors! So we packed up Our Little Man Cub and went for a hike and then hit the beach. While hiking we saw a snake, a deer (with two fawns), and a ton of squirrels and birds :) and to finish it off we enjoyed a wonderful picnic! At the beach we discovered that the Little Man Cub loves the sand (but he doesn't eat it!!!). To finish of the evening we ate clam chowder at a beach side restaurant and flew a kite.
