My pretty menu plan

So this year one of my "resolutions" was to start a menu plan. I'm on the my third month of the menu plan and going strong!!! Obviously there are times when we miss some of the meals, but we just skip it and keep going. It really has made cooking so much simpler for me; no more planning just grab what I keep stocked and cook :) Anyways since I have been using it I though I should make it official by making a pretty menu to put on the fridge! Here it is .....

Not to fancy, but I am going to put it in a frame or laminate it so I can cross the meals out as we go and then erase and redo!  And yes we Menu Plan going to Grandma's house :)

Pinterest Love - organized socks and Fudge Revel Bars

I'm back for another week of

my first project was really simple!! I hate matching socks ... who does really? I avoid the matching game by buy all white socks for the man cub and my husband, then they all get shoved into a sock drawer and they can pull any two out. This system wasn't working with my Chunky Monkey. There don't seem to be any plain white socks in his size :( So I end up digging around trying to find a match ... no good!! I found this awesome idea and knew that would work. My only problem was I shouldn't be using sharp things. So instead of safety pins I used paper clips. And viola!! Organized socks!

 

 


My baking experiment for the week were these yummy bars!!

on to the fudgy part. Realize I don't have condensed milk only evaporated milk. My not good at cooking brain thought they are the same right? ...

no they are not the same!! my fudgy part looks like poo water :( cryed a little inside while I dumped it down the drain.

 didn't want to waste the rest so I sprinkled it generously with Chocolate Chips!

they weren't very desserty, so I added some vanilla ice cream, chocolate syrup, and whipped cream. Perfection!!

Looking foward to trying these again with the fudgy part!!

Pinterest Love - Ikea Spice Racks and Menu Frames

I'm back for another week of 

I really like that I am finally getting projects done and not just admiring other peoples work :)

My first project has been in the works for awhile. We tried hanging them several different ways, but Our Little Man Cub in very inventive and managed to pull these awesome spice racks off the wall 3 times! 

That's right these awesome book shelves are spice racks from Ikea! They are exactly what I was looking for to finish off the boys room. I would suggest if you have adventuresome boys like mine to use molly's (I think that's right!), otherwise you will destroy your drywall with bookshelves being pulled off :)

My second project was to help my mom out! She pinned this cute framed menu board and wanted to know if I could help out. Well, I knew this was a job for my Creative Memories Digital Scrapbooking program :) I quickly put together 5 different options ...

Pinterest Love - Card Books

I found this wonderful idea via my Mom!!! I have saved every last Christmas Card I have received since DH and I got married and I wanted a cute way to display them, but not spend hours making something.

These books are perfect!! They are simple and adorable :) I changed them up a little; instead of using rings I used ties and I added some fibers and yarn to make them look fancier. Now I will pack them away in the Christmas decoration box and display them proudly every year!
