Running late again, but I don't want to miss out on the fun :)

Pinterest Time- Photo Puzzle

I found this awesome idea on Pinterest and knew I had to try it out!It took awhile to find the perfect puzzle and when my little cousin B's birthday came around I knew I had the perfect gift. I gathered pictures of his siblings, parents, grandma, godparents, and friends, put together a digital file with the puzzles dimensions, print photos, mod podge into the puzzle, and sit back to admire your work :)

I am so happy with how this turned out!! and cousin B loved it!

Pinterest time- 50 photo collage!!

My mom celebrated her 50th birthday earlier this year!! and all of us kids decided to throw her a surprise birthday party. I knew the minute we decided to have a party that I had to make this sign. My mom loves pictures (and so do I), so whats better than a giant birthday photo 50?!?!

I started by gathering photos and editing them all to be black and white, then I cropped them to be square, and then put them all in a 12x12 page. I simply printed and cut and then pasted to a giant 50!

It was so fun going through all the photos!! 

The first 0 was to short :( so I went back and made it longer!

and the finished project!! It turned out so good and it was an awesome conversation starter at the the party :)

Zoo Day

There is nothing my boys like better than a zoo day, unless it's a zoo day with cousins! We had so much fun at the zoo with my Aunt, her kids, and 2 family friends helping celebrate cousin B's birthday. We got there right as they opened and stayed until closing! Little Man Cub is convinced his big cousins are all there to play with him and Chunky Monkey loves his cousin J. 

A quick note about the following picture, take the group shot at the beginning of the day not the end! we all look a bit bedraggled :)

I never realized how beautiful Giraffes are, but seeing them up close is amazing!!

The best Grandpa Ever!

I am sure that you have heard me brag about how lucky my boys are ... I mean they have an awesome Grandpa. With the warmer weather Grandpa wanted a sprinkler for the littles to cool down in, but he was very discouraged with how cheap all the store bought sprinkler were. So Grandpa did what any good grandpa would do and made his own! He had seen a few tutorial's through Grandma's pinterest and decided to give it a try .....

Chunky Monkey was the first to try it out, and he definitely enjoyed it!! Good Job Grandpa, you really are awesome!!!

First Day - June 2013

I'm back! I really liked the first day link up over at Journey To Josie, but life got crazy and I fell off the bandwagon :)

We had a crazy fun filled day!! This first day we were staying at a beach house with 4 of DH siblings, their spouses, and kids ... totaling in 9 adults and 9 kids!! We jumped on the trampoline, did art projects, blew bubbles, flew kites, built sandcastles, made stone-fire pizza, sang happy birthday to two May birthday cousins, took naps, played games ..... needless to say it was a ton of fun!

Civil War Reenactment!!!

This Memorial Day one of my brother's dreams came true .... he got to participate in a Civil War Reenactment! Yes, my 13 year old brother is in love with the Civil War. He has been so excited about this day and I wasn't going to miss it. So I packed up bright and early, drove 45 minutes, and spent the day watching a bunch of history nerds act out a Civil War Battle. I have a ton of pictures of my kids playing that I will post later, but for now I wanted to share these with my mom :)

Trains and Uncle James!!

Every now and then I have too much energy and do funny things :) like take the boys to the local train show and out for McDonald's Shamrock Shakes!!

Valentine's Day

We kept the celebrations small this Valentine's day, just a quick trip to the zoo and cookies with friends :)
