So many wonderful things happened this year that I thought a list would help me feel a little more accomplished :)
1. We were all in my Sister's wedding. Getting all of us ready was a little stressful, but it was so special getting to be a part of her big day!
2. We took Our Little Man Cub to the snow. He had never seen the snow, so when DH's friend invited us to come visit him and see the snow we said "yes" :)
3. We found out we were expecting Little Man Cub #2!!
4. Went on our first family vacation! we took Our Little Man Cub to San Diego and visited the Zoo and Sea World. The zoo was a little bit of a flop for him (picture us pointing to animals that are far away and our two year old looking at us like we have rocks for brains), but Sea World was a huge hit (visiting the penguins took a whole hour and he is still sleeping with the penguin doll!!)!
5. My youngest brother made his 1st communion. It was such a special day and he was so excited!! It is so wonderful that our Little Man Cub has such wonderful Uncles that value their faith to look up to :)
6. We celebrated Our Little Man Cub's 2nd birthday. I can't believe he is two!! We decided that his birthday was such a hit last year that we would just do a repeat. So we invited everyone we could think of to join us at the beach. I have to say the Our Little Man Cub ran himself ragged!! He had a wonderful time!
7. We moved ... thats right it was our first move since we got married. But with the impending arrival of Little Man Cub #2 we decided that we should have more than one bedroom. It was so fun getting to put together a room just for our Little Man Cubs!
8. Our Little Man Cub #2 made his arrival!!! Little Man Cub #1 is absolutely in love with his little brother; he is constantly trying to hug and kiss him and if I let him he would squeeze the stuffing out of "his baby"
I was looking at my post from last New Years and I have to say that I don't think I did anything on my list :( Oh well, I have been pretty busy! I have big plans for 2012 though :)
1. get a meal plan ... nothing fancy. I made 4 weekly meal plans with master grocery shopping sheets. I am going to rotate those 4 menu and not worry about coming up with anything new. I have two babies I don't have to be a fancy cook, there just needs to be food on the table!
2. continue improving my chore sheet. This past year I have gotten really good at my cleaning schedule; I would like to continue that and get it all in writing so that as my Little Man Cubs get older they can help out.
3. 40 bags in 40 days, well not exactly that, but a version of it. I am going to make a list of 50 hot spots/projects around my house and tackle one each week and by the end of the year my house will be super organized :)
4. go for walks. While I was pregnant I went for a walk everyday no matter what!! sadly during the last 4 weeks I was told to stop walking :( and I have had a hard time getting back into the habit again. But I need to just get on top of it and go walking no mater what!! Everyday, for 30-45 minutes, rain or shine, I need to put the Little Man Cubs in the stroller and get out of the house.
5. make time for family. DH has been working so hard that we tend to forget to schedule time for our little family. I want to try and plan one day all to ourselves every month. That's right just one day; one day for our little family to hang out at home or go for a day trip, it doesn't really matter as long as we are together!
