Sprinkle Fun!!

I was putting away some Christmas stuff the other day and when I turned around I found Our Little Man Cub helping himself to some sprinkles. It was so dang cute (and talented) that instead of getting mad I grabed my camera and took some pictures!!

Santa's Sleigh

I am so glad I bought this cute little sleigh for Our Little Man Cub. I picked it up at a second hand store and gave it a good cleaning and then set it out for play time. Our Little Man Cub thought it was great; he played with in constantly!! Here are a few pics of him enjoying his very own Christmas Decorations :)

Freezer Paper

Normally I like to give credit to the blogger that I get all my wonderful craft ideas from, but this particular craft has been done on so many blogs that I have no idea where I originally got it from. So this Christmas I decided to get a little crafty and make my gifts a little more personal! I had no idea how useful Freezer paper is .. I mean this stuff is awesome :) so here is how I make some super cute backpacks for my nieces and nephews ...

1. buy your self this huge roll of freezer paper. I was only able to find it at walmart, but it only costs $5 and I have a ton left over!!

2. Get a nice pair of siccors and an exacto knife.

3. cut out all sorts of fun shapes

4. buy a cute bag. I got a dozen of these for $7 from Oriental Trading Company.

5. Heat up the iron. I used a medium heat setting.

6. position your cute shapes on the bag with the shiny side down. This is very important one side of the freezer paper is shiny and the other is rough. If you put it shiny side up it will take you forever to clean your iron :(

7. Buy yourself some spray paint. I bought these at Home Depot for $3 each.

8. wear a dorky mask becuase your husband says you have to :)

9. spray paint your bag. Be sure to put it on a surface you don't care about becuase spray paint gets everywhere!!

10. peel your cute shape off .. and relize something is missing :(

11. run to the arts and crafts store and buy some glitter paint and paint brush for $10

12. paint your cute shapes with glitter paint and then admire your work!!

Obviously I didn't glitter paint the truck backpack :) ,but I think these turned out pretty cute and all the girls where so excited to see what shape we had picked out for them! and the best part ... for a total of $31 I finished 8 christmas gifts!! Not bad if I do say so.

Oh My ...

it's 2001!!!! How did that sneak up on me?!?!

So, I had wonderful ideas of being a wonderful blogger over the holidays. I was going to share all our pictures, tell funny stories, and so many wonderful things :) well, the holidays got the best of me and here I am a month later with no posts.

I am going to tell you all about our holidays and show you lost of pictures, but that is for another post. Right now I want to look ahead to 2011.

I never make New Year resolutions, but this year I have a few things I want to do!!

1. Blog more :)

2. Be healthy ... nothing big, I'm not going to run a marathon, but I want to continue on some of my current healthy habits and try to create some new ones.

3. Slow down. Not necessarily doing less, but just enjoying the moment that I'm in and not worrying about what is next. My little man cub is growing so fast and I don't want to look back and feel like I missed it!!

4. Photography!!! I want to complete project 52 with Santa Cruz Click Chicks (check out the blog for more details)

5. Last, but most important ... I want to work on being a better Catholic! I love my faith, but there are so many more ways I could incorporate my faith in my life and I plan on doing so!!!

So that's it .. and I promise a post with lots of pictures is coming soon!!
