Sports Time

This summer DH decided we need to introduce the boys to the wide world of organized sports! I grew up in a house that sport weren't really a big deal. I didn't even know what hockey was until I was 12, and then when I was 13 I had to ask my dad what the Super Bowl was. I know ... sports illiterate :)

With my sports background I am really proud of myself for making it to THREE sports event in the last three weeks!

First up was a local arena football game. It started off with some really loud noises that scared the boys, but they eventually warmed up and had a great time. Thanks to my sister and her husband for helping plug ears :)

Next up was a soccer game with DH family. It was so fun taking 7 of the cousins to their first soccer game. I think this may have been Man Cubs favorite sport; so much running!

and last but not least ... a baseball game. One of the local teams has family night; 4 tickets, 4 hot dogs, 4 drinks, and 4 bags of peanuts for $50! Man cub loved the game but his favorite part was the play area for kids. We spent the 5th through 7th innings there letting the kids burn of some steam :)

hi it's me ....

... Man Cub. Mommy didn't realize that I stole the camera the other day!! I tried to tell her it was mine; she just wouldn't listen, so I snuck off with it. I had so much fun exploring and pressing buttons. Everybody acts like it's so hard to take good pictures, but I think it's pretty easy. I think I may try to steal the camera again later. In the mean time enjoy my magical pictures :)

whole embrace the camera thing is all about :)

At This Moment: 8 months

Chunky Monkey turned 8 months yesterday and I thought it would be fun to do a side by side comparison :) Man Cub is in green and Chunky Monkey is in red.... what do you think? do they look anything alike? They have the same chubby cheeks, lifted eyebrows, button nose, and hairline :) but their coloring is nothing alike! LOVE IT!!!

I am going to add a little update here for me. I always thought I would remember everything Man Cub did and all his little quirks, but its all kinda fuzzy now :) so here is an update on my 8 month old Chunky Monkey.

Chunky Monkey you are adorable!! You love to chew on everything, you are an amazing roller... yes roller; you refuse to crawl and manage to get around by rolling and doing a funny kicking with your legs. You blow raspberries all the time, especially in church. You have put me on a run this last month by not pooping (I know TMI)! We have been on a very strict diet with twice a day laxative, flax seed oil, and when it gets really bad suppositories ... ewww!! You have had 5, yes 5, haircuts. You are wearing size 9-12 month clothes and size 2 shoes. You love your big brother, you give him the cutest smiles when he plays with you! You are such an adorable little Chunky Monkey and I have had so much fun getting to know you over the last 8 months!!!

Water Park

We had our first heat wave last week ... not fun!  On one particularly hot day I decided to walk the boys down to the local park that has a water pad. It is such a cute little set up; there is a little button you press and then the sprinklers start. Man Cub loved it! Definitely something we will be doing again.
