The Zoo!!
Yesterday DH took the day off and we had a much needed family day!! We took the opportunity to take the Man Cub and Chunky Monkey to the zoo. The Man Cub had so much fun running around looking at all the animals :)

Valentine's Day
We had a pretty quiet holiday around here. The boys were all still recovering from colds and we didn't make any plans. We were lucky enough that Grandma stopped by during naps to drop of some good reading and some yummy treats :)
I like to get all the boys (love saying boys) a little gift. I went with a movie theme this year; I don't usually spend that much for a small holiday, but I splurged this year!
Chunky Monkey - bath toys and Finding Nemo
DH - Tron and Candy :)
Man Cub- Cars and a car!!
I have been getting a bit of cabin fever, so I packed the boys up in the stroller and went for a super fun walk to the grocery store. The Man Cub's cute little pouty face convinced me to buy a balloon!
I tried to get some pictures of the boys in their matching shirts, but as you can tell by the pictures the Man Cub was less than happy about it. It took awhile, but with a little tickling I was able to get a bit of a smile.
and a picture of me with my Valentines!!

we have been ....
Sick :( both my poor babies and DH came down with a no fun cold. So we have had lots of runny noses, coughing, humidifiers, baby vapor rub, saline sprays, and cuddles around here. I have been trying really hard to not expose anybody else to this "no funness" but I can tell the Man Cub is missing his little circle off friends (lets face it mommy can get kinda boring). I can especially tell he misses Grandma and Grandpa. We usually go to their house once a week for dinner and some special attention, but with our cold I didn't want to share (2 year old are so good at sharing germs!). Anyways we miss you Grandma and Grandpa and the Man Cub and Chunky Monkey can't wait to see you!

Pinterest Love - organized socks and Fudge Revel Bars
I'm back for another week of
my first project was really simple!! I hate matching socks ... who does really? I avoid the matching game by buy all white socks for the man cub and my husband, then they all get shoved into a sock drawer and they can pull any two out. This system wasn't working with my Chunky Monkey. There don't seem to be any plain white socks in his size :( So I end up digging around trying to find a match ... no good!! I found this awesome idea and knew that would work. My only problem was I shouldn't be using sharp things. So instead of safety pins I used paper clips. And viola!! Organized socks!

My baking experiment for the week were these yummy bars!!
First layer in the pan!!
on to the fudgy part. Realize I don't have condensed milk only evaporated milk. My not good at cooking brain thought they are the same right? ...
no they are not the same!! my fudgy part looks like poo water :( cryed a little inside while I dumped it down the drain.
didn't want to waste the rest so I sprinkled it generously with Chocolate Chips!
doesn't look to bad!!
they weren't very desserty, so I added some vanilla ice cream, chocolate syrup, and whipped cream. Perfection!!
Looking foward to trying these again with the fudgy part!!

shower time!
One of the things I have realized as a parent is its important to know your partners strengths. My DH will never realize the dishes are dirty, that laundry needs to be done, or any other everyday chores (at least with out prompting!), but he will help out all day with exactly what I want done!! and he gives up his personal time in the bathroom for group shower! I don't think I would be willing to give up my 20 minutes to soak by myself, but if I ask my hubby will throw on some swim trunks (so I can take blog appropriate pictures) and soap up both of our smelly boys.
1st up is our Chunky monkey. He loves the warm water and coos and goos like crazy. DH gets a little nervous sometime because he is such a slippery little butter ball :)
Big brother wanting in on the action!

Pinterest Love - Brownies and an Oil Drip pan
I'm back for another week of
I feel like I have been trying so many new things!!
My first pinning project was so simple I feel a little silly even blogging about it, but the Little Man Cub loves it! I saw this pin and thought I could so make that :) Anyways I ran to a car supply store and bought a $10 oil drip pan and used some picture hanging Velcro strips, and done!!!
I need to put together some fun games, but for now the Little Man Cub stole my pictures off the refrigerator and has some colorful numbers from Grandma.
My second project was to copy my mom. A few weeks ago she made some awesome brownies and I needed to try them out. I think I actually used a different recipe, but with the same delicious results!!
we forgot to take pictures of the finished product ... we were way to busy eating :)

A Sunny Day
We have been enjoying some wonderful sunny days around here!! I have been using them to get my Little Man Cub to watch fewer movies. We try to limit his TV intake, but its hard when it's raining out and he is getting on my last nerve :) It was such a gorgeous day that I grabbed the camera and my Chunky Monkey and we had an outside day!
Sorry for all the templates, but I love learning new things :)
